What if....

What if we could change the world? I know, big idea for a first blog, but this thought has been circling my entire body for the past few months. I recently began a Masters program in Philanthropy and Development at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Prior to this program, I always had a little tinker inside me that really wanted to do something to make an impact, a BIG one, but who doesn't right? Of course, there are many people who probably don't want to make a BIG impact, but that is something I can't understand... I can respect it, but I can't really understand it. Anyway, I digress!

After my first summer at Saint Mary's, surrounded by amazing people with amazing thoughts and immense talent, my thoughts began to change. It is no longer a tinker, but a driving force inside of me with which I don't know quite what to do. It is making me restless.

The question remains, "What if YOU could change the world?" If you were given the opportunity, would you take it? If the chance to make the BIG impact came along, would you step up? Would you lead?

My automatic response is OF COURSE! But would I really? Would I leave my known world behind for the unknown? Would I be brave enough and strong enough to make things happen? Would people follow my lead? Would it be worth it?

I want to change the world. I want to make a BIG impact. I want to get my hands dirty and experience life and give back with all that I have. I want to help people THINK differently and in turn ACT differently! I want to get people excited about all of the amazing movements in this world. I want to be a part of THIS movement. I just don't know how to do it yet...do you?
